A classic usually includes the following:


SBS/SEBS, oil, (PP), (PS), zinc stearate, antioxidant, (calcium powder), TPU.

The substances in parentheses can be selected depending on the formulation system.


(1) Thermoplastic elastomers SBS and SEBS: The most important raw material selection in the formulation, the most important factor affecting cost and material performance, the formula for the same kind of application, the unit price per ton of SEBS will be about 3000RMB higher than the unit price of SBS formula. The TPR made by the thermoplastic elastomer SEBS has the following advantages:


(2) Thermoplastic elastomer TPE/TPR formulation plasticizer - oil: used to regulate the fluidity of raw materials and reduce costs. To produce environmentally friendly TPR, TPE/TPR naphthenic oil and TPE/TPR paraffin oil must be used, and the aromatic (CA) value must be strictly controlled. TPE/TPR naphthenic oil has a relatively low price and a good phase with SBS/SEBS. Capacitive, oil-filled and oil-filled speeds are advantageous, but it tends to make the surface of the TPR finished product sticky, which is why it can not completely replace paraffin oil, so it is necessary to choose different types according to customer needs. The amount of oil can be varied depending on the grade of the glue, and the amount added is between 120 and 160 parts. The filling amount of oil increases, the mechanical strength of the material decreases, and the filling amount should be based on non-pegging oil; the oil with high viscosity has lower loss of mechanical properties, but the smoothness of the surface of the product is also reduced.


Paraffin oil

(3) The thermoplastic elastomer TPE/TPR formula consists of plastic reinforcing component - PP: It has better compatibility with SBS and SEBS and can be used to increase hardness. The important indicator for selecting PP is the melting index of PP. If the melting index is too low, the plasticization will be obviously affected, and the surface of the product will be uneven and flawed. In general, the PP price of the powder is lower than that of the pellet, and the dispersibility is good. However, when PP is mixed with SBS/SEBS, the original transparency of SBS/SEBS will be greatly reduced. Therefore, in the formulation system of PP and extrudate with low transparency requirements, if the transparency requirement is high, then random should be selected. Copolymerized transparent PP, but the amount added is not much, and the amount of PP added is about 40-50 parts. PP is not wear resistant, so it is not used in the formulation of shoe materials.


(4) Formulation of thermoplastic elastomer TPE/TPR The plastic reinforcing component - PS: It has good compatibility with SBS, and is commonly used in the sole material and ABS formulation system to increase wear resistance and ABS. Cohesiveness. If the amount added is too large, the surface of the product will have a pearlescent color, which will increase the difficulty of color matching.



Polystyrene

(5) Formulation of thermoplastic elastomer TPE/TPR The internal lubricant - zinc stearate: used to reduce the friction between molecules in the molten state of macromolecules, generally added in an amount of 2-3 parts.


(6) Antioxidant in the formulation of thermoplastic elastomer TPE/TPR: Improve anti-aging performance and prevent oxidative yellowing during processing and use. The general addition amount is about 0.4 parts.


(7) Formulation of thermoplastic elastomer TPE/TPR The filler is calcium powder, which is used for filling and reducing cost. Generally, a heavy calcium powder of 1000 mesh or more is selected, and the amount of calcium powder is greatly affected by the specific gravity (density) of the material. The larger the amount of addition, the higher the specific gravity. For the formulation of thermoplastic elastomer TPE/TPR, Xufeng brand heavy calcium powder XF-6018 (1250 mesh) and XF-6038 (1500 mesh) are recommended, which are well received by customers, including XF-6038. The elastomer and the surface of the elastomer produced by filling XF-6018 are more delicate and smooth, and the oil filling amount is increased, but the oil filling speed is lowered;


(8) Formulation of thermoplastic elastomer TPE/TPR TPU: TPU is an important polar raw material used in ABS encapsulation formula to increase the adhesion of TPR to ABS, and also a concomitant TPU Compatibilizer added;


(9) Formulation of thermoplastic elastomer TPE/TPR in flame retardant: phosphorus, nitrogen and other TPE;


(10) Anti-ultraviolet aging agent in the formulation of thermoplastic elastomer TPE/TPR: carbon black.
